Outlawz Tuesday Colour Challenge

Autumn Leaves

AJ choose the colour scheme for this week and they are perfect for an Autumn/Fall card. You had to use at least three colours but could use more if you liked. As it is spring here I googled some Autumn pictures to remind me of some of the colours I would need. I just picked the colours I wanted to use so they are not true to the Autumn leaves proper shades. I like the way they turned out and they went with my background. I think the term they use is poetic licence and I definitely used that on this card. The background is alcohol inks blended on glossy paper I made when trying out different colour combinations and this was perfect. Added strips of torn coloured card stock to the top and adhered it to black card leaving a narrow border. The tag is a die from MFT that I printed the sentiment from Tiffany Doodles on the bottom corner then taped it to the card. Added the twine and leaves with mounting square before adding the button and bow then mounting it to a fawn card base.The leaves are from a SU set called Gently Falling. It is a two step set and I used the direct to stamp method with distress ink pads, spritzed with a mister then stamped on water colour Paper. When dry I stamped again, using the outline shape with a matching colour, spritzed lightly over the top then fussy cut out.

Birthday Hello Have not posted anything for months and saw the challenge on Beccy's Place blog and love the lilies so decided to have a go. Kept the card clean and simple and love how it turned out so maybe my mogo just needed a nudge.. The image is the freebie this month and the hello die is from my stash of die cut words. I can never just cut one and they mount up. I fussy cut two flowers, used dimentional tape to layer the larger one over the smaller flower on white cardstock. Stamped birthday girl under the hello die then added some glossy gems. To finish I adhered the panel to a matching grteen card base.

AAA Cards Cas Challenge

Have a Fabulous Birthday I have been messing around with watercolours so this challenge fits right in. The stamp is from Penny black  called Divine and was such fun to colour. I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder and then just played with different colours. Used a paint set I bought from my local Hot Dollar store ages ago and though they are not the greatest I had fun. Watercolouring is fun as you do not want it to be perfect and I love the patterns the paint creates. Different every time. The sentiment is from Stampin' ups Thoughtful Banners set. It is great for making up your own sayings as the words are all separate. I white embossed it on black card to give the card some contrast. I am entering the card into the Cas Game #84 Watercolour challenge. I am also adding it to Uniko Studio Happy 5th Birthday party Link.

Happy Birthday

  Warm Hands Only Where does the time go. Our eldest daughter turns 50 tomorrow and this is the card I finally made. Not what I planned but love it and she has a great sense of humour. Hopefully this will get my mogo back as it has been on walk-a-bout lately. The digi is from Redonkadoodles  and was coloured with copics and I kept it simple so the image takes centre stage. Her favourite colour is green so mounted the panel onto a green square card base and added the sentiment. Copics used:  Skin: E00,31. Mouth: & Lips: E13,31. Hair: E23,25,27,29. Present: G12,14,16. Ribbon: C0,1,3,5. Shadow: G0000,000,00.
